A hollow polyamide fibre, unique to Nylstar.
For the production of lighter fabrics (25%-30% lighter than standard polyamide) with the same thickness,
and fabrics with greater insulating and protective properties (25% greater) than standard PA of the same weight.
Meryl® Nexten is ideal for winter outer garments (e.g. ski jackets) and the production of light, comfortable thermal underwear.
A special polyamide with increased abrasion resistance, higher tenacity, high tensile strength and tear resistance. It is particularly recommended for extreme weather conditions. It creates the perfect balance of lightness, strength and protection.
Ideal for accessories (e.g. bags and sport shoes), for all sports and activities where protection and wearability are essential (e.g. motorcycling garments).
A large family of fibres characterised by a variety of cross sections, composition and/or colours in the same yarn.
The complex structure of Meryl® Tango® fibres makes them the ideal choice for the production of fabrics with a lively surface look, or shot silk effects, very similar to look of natural silk (a blend of irregular filament cross sections and lustre are aspects particular to natural silk).
Thanks to the fineness of each filament (less than 10 µm), this well-known Nylstar speciality makes it possible to construct very fine close-woven and knitted fabrics, characterised by a very soft hand, breathability, wind and rain resistance.
Ideal for light garments in direct contact with the skin, it is a natural for use in stockings and socks.
