GENERAL INFORMATION
Textile fibres entered a new era in the 1950s with the creation of polyamide. This was also the beginning of continual improvement of these fibres, by a series of changes such as different sections, texturing, bi-compounds ... destined to improve their characteristics and aspect. This development has continued in recent years with close collaboration with the hosiery and fabrics industries and brought about the creation by the Nylstar company of fine and micro-fine filament polyamide fibres, whose principal characteristic is the fineness of the filaments, with a unitary title which varies from 0.8 dtex and 1.3 dtex (with respect to the 3 - 4 dtex of standard fibres). This vigorous development of fine filament polyamide fibres responds to precise demand for functional products from the market. This trend appeared some years ago and will be increasingly emphatic in the future. The fineness of the filaments confers on the articles created therewith, besides the normal qualities of polyamide fibres, characteristics of consistency and look which cannot be obtained with standard fibres, such as: > Soft silky texture > Natural silky aspect > Comfort and freedom of movement > Transpirability (breathability) > Exceptional skin tolerance > Ease of maintenance .1/19 >> |
