GENERAL INFORMATION
Multifilament yarns are a new generation of polyamide yarns produced by Nylstar.
These yarns with a filament count of less than 1.5 dtex/filament, are available as:
> Flat yarns
> Texturised yarns
> Twisted yarns
on cops or tubes and on sized or unsized beams.
Multifilament yarns are used in weaving for manufacturing various types of articles for conventional end uses:
> Sportswear and leisurewear
> Women’s outerwear
> Furnishings
> Travel bags
> Linings
They are also used for both 100% polyamide fabrics and for fabric mixtures.
In the latter case the fabrics are generally made with multifilament yarns as warp and spun or continuous filaments yarns as weft.
